Before starting Bellamy, I spent over a decade in New York City’s corporate finance world while always nurturing my creative side — oil painting, pottery, jewelry design, and eventually, photography. Having grown up in Hawaii, I’ve always been inspired by natural light, effortless beauty, and the sense of calm that comes from being surrounded by nature.
When my family moved to North Carolina, I poured myself into curating and styling my home (yes, I even painted much of the décor you’ll see on the walls). It soon evolved into a private, appointment-only creative studio for local photographers and videographers. Opening my doors to other creatives confirmed something I’d always known: I love giving women a space to shine.

My Journey
After having children and navigating body changes — even a mommy makeover didn’t bring back the confidence I thought I’d lost — I finally stepped in front of the camera for my first boudoir session. To my surprise, I left that day on a high: feeling strong, confident, and empowered. When I saw the photos, I could hardly believe that woman was me.
Those portraits, created by photographer Q Hegarty (shared here with permission), were the spark that reminded me how transformative boudoir can be.

The Turning Point
The name Bellamy means “beautiful friend” — a phrase that captures what I want every woman to feel here. Bellamy Portraits was created from the belief that beauty isn’t just how you look — it’s the connection, confidence, and friendship you build with yourself.
In this private Wake Forest studio, I create elegant, natural-light portraits for women across Raleigh, Durham, and beyond. Each session is shaped around your story, your beauty, and the quiet strength that’s always been within you.
